Empireo 2021

Empireo nasce da un atteggiamento che l’artista ha avuto con la pandemia. Vivendo l’illuminazione creativa come una vera meditazione. La Pandemia l’ha avvicinata alla spiritualità, indagando, studiando, praticando e creando ascoltandosi dentro.

Cielo, /ciè-lo/ sostantivo maschile. Lo spazio entro cui si muove il nostro pianeta (e tutti gli altri del sistema solare) e che ci appare come una volta o cupola emisferica delimitata alla base dall’orizzonte. Per quanto attiene la cosmologia medievale: sfera o volta celeste – la parte piu` alta del cielo, situato fuori dal tempo e dallo spazio, spesso in riferimento indiretto con Dio. Si stende l’infinito eterno candore fiammeggiante del piu` esterno dei cieli: l’empireo, sede dei beati, dei santi, degli angeli, di Dio. Un luogo celeste, l’estrazione spirituale suprema. L’empireo ci restituisce un’immagine fondamentale e meravigliosa: “luce intellettual piena d’amore”, diretta emanazione di Dio. È un progetto fotografico che indaga il rapporto tra esistenza e attrazione verso l’infinito, anche inteso come ricerca continua. L’artista oltre al medium fotografico, agisce performando con materiali come: cellophane, bombolette spray, nylon schiuma poliuretanica e la neve. L’occhio dello spettatore verrà rapito e ingannato dal proprio bisogno di comprendere e di fantasticare, colto da un senso di vertigine per la distanza tra lui e l’EMPIREO “artificiale”, il Cielo volutamente impossibile, pensato e creato dall’artista che innescherà un cortocircuito sensoriale tra figurazione percepita e realtà.

Empireo stems from an attitude the artist had with the pandemic. Experiencing creative enlightenment as a true meditation. Pandemic brought her closer to spirituality, investigating, studying, practising and creating by listening to herself.

Cielo, /ciè-lo/ masculine noun. The space within which our planet (and all the others in the solar system) moves and which appears to us as a hemispherical vault or dome bounded at the base by the horizon. In medieval cosmology: sphere or vault of heaven - the highest part of the sky, situated outside time and space, often in indirect reference to God. It stretches the infinite eternal flaming whiteness of the outermost heaven: the empyrean, the seat of the blessed, the saints, the angels, God. A heavenly place, the supreme spiritual extraction. The empyrean gives us a fundamental and wonderful image: "intellectual light full of love", a direct emanation of God. It is a photographic project that investigates the relationship between existence and attraction towards the infinite, also understood as a continuous search. In addition to the photographic medium, the artist performs with materials such as cellophane, spray cans, nylon, polyurethane foam and snow. The eye of the spectator will be enraptured and deceived by his need to understand and to fantasize, seized by a sense of vertigo due to the distance between him and the "artificial" EMPIREO, the intentionally impossible sky, conceived and created by the artist, which will trigger a sensory short-circuit between perceived representation and reality.
